Managing the ontology

This chapter describes how an ontology can be defined to specify the structure of the attributes applicable to PartTypes.

The ontology is a definition of the attributes and the values that can be added to the PartTypes in the Catalog. In addition to the name, parts can have attributes that contain additional properties that define or help find the part. Attributes are customizable by defining a data ontology for the catalog.
